Manuel Guillermo Ramos Barrios, known artistically as Lito Ramos, is a Peruvian musician and cultural ambassador whose passion for quena and zampoña has taken him from the streets of Lima to stages across the world.
Born in Lima, Peru, and raised by parents from Pisco (Ica), Lito’s musical path began in the parish Nuestra Señora de la Paz in the district of Comas, where he first picked up traditional Andean flutes with the choir group Dios es Amor. Encouraged by friends and mentors, he quickly developed his skills and joined notable national groups including Cielo Azul, Viento de los Andes, and Blanco y Negro.
In 1990, Lito began an international journey that led him through Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, and more, performing with ensembles like Amauta Ollantay and Tarahumara de Ecuador. In Italy, he collaborated with Latin fusion groups such as Guarango, Bolivia Marka, and Antares Latino, expanding his reach and musical influence across Europe.
Returning to Peru in 2011, Lito embraced his role as both a solo performer and music educator, teaching in schools like PAMER and leading groups in national television competitions like Peru’s Got Talent and La Banda. He later became a member of celebrated groups including Del Pueblo y del Barrio, Los Altureños, and Alma América, contributing to a wide-ranging discography that spans cultures and continents.
Lito's international performances include appearances at the United Nations, Times Square, and cultural festivals in China. His dedication to sharing the beauty of Andean music continues to inspire audiences everywhere.
Whether you're planning a private party, cultural event, or music workshop, Lito Ramos offers unforgettable live performances and hands-on experiences that bring the spirit of the Andes to life. Ready to book? Visit the Booking Page to reserve Lito for your next event!
