šµ What is a ZampoƱa?Ā
The zampoƱa (also known as pan flute or siku) is a traditional Andean wind instrument made of multiple bamboo tubes of varying lengths, arranged in rows. Each tube produces a different note when blown across the top, creating the instrumentās signature haunting, melodic sound. Deeply rooted in Indigenous Andean culture, the zampoƱa is used in festivals, ceremonies, and folk music across Peru, Bolivia, and the Andean region.Ā
